萬聖夜乃一年一度的西洋鬼節，雖然就一天，但許多有『節慶魂』的人們不僅在各個相關場合把自己變裝、連房子庭院也弄的鬼影幢幢，感覺上一到十月，就該玩上萬聖節！
在家鄉，俗稱為鬼月的農曆七月，即使至今還是讓大部分的人處在戰戰兢兢的氛圍，絲毫不敢鬆懈以免犯忌。還好在諸多禁忌中卻也包括了一個浪漫的七夕情人節（真巧，牛郎織女星就在那時相會)以及與好兄弟一起熱鬧的中元普渡（童年的大拜拜回憶是非常正面且美好的，您的呢？）。
中西方的這兩個與鬼相關的節日，似乎都是由宗教活動衍伸出來的民俗節慶，西方人不信鬼月，但東方人可是越來越把萬聖節納入正式民間慶祝活動之一。

「鬼」也屬象形字，那個「田」竟意味著醜陋的面相，加上個角，拖了個尾巴。所有應用詞彙也不脫本字義，帶點戲謔也帶有神秘與敬畏。

～昨晚正忙著用自製酸白菜做火鍋底、烤著法國麵包、炸著豬排之際，赫然發現有隻蟋蟀跑到爐灶旁湊熱鬧，著著實實地還原「秋」字最原始的由來！想著：再兩天就是美國慶祝秋收、全家團圓的感恩節，也太應景了！ (Shufei 老師在2022年的有趣體驗)～
秋是重要且最具代表性的季節：「各有千秋」、「萬世千秋」、「如隔三秋」
秋是忙碌的：「多事之秋」，不僅要「溜溜秋秋」「明察秋毫」還要防止被人「打秋風」，深怕「秋後算賬」，只落得「老氣橫秋」的印象
秋季是歡愉的：「望穿秋水」好不容易等到「秋高氣爽」
在這個西方的中秋節來臨之際，願大家春風得意、健康嚇嚇叫、千秋大業、冬盡春來！

秋, pronounced qīu (Chiu), is the modern Chinese character for "fall". The 火 part represented the heat originally and has been used to describe the ripeness of crops since 2000+ years ago. In Mandarin Chinese, 秋 appears to be the most significant season, which is used to represent the year and "thousand autumns" (千秋）means eternal! Very Cool!
